December 3, Hangzhou – The final round of the Computing Power Town Cup Create@ Computing Power Application Innovation Contest, co-hosted by Linping New City and Alibaba Cloud, was successfully held at Hangzhou's Computing Power Town. With an outstanding performance, Westlake Pharma advanced to the final round and ultimately won the Innovation Breakthrough Award.

The contest launched its recruitment campaign centered around five main themes: computing power + new consumerism, computing power + advanced manufacturing, computing power + culture & entertainment, computing power + healthcare, and computing power + diversified development. It aimed to discover high-tech innovation and entrepreneurship talent, teams, and enterprises from across the country. A total of over 380 projects applied, with 20 outstanding projects ultimately advancing to the final.

The competition awarded one Grand Champion, four Innovation Breakthrough Awards, and fifteen Application Innovation Awards. The award ceremony was held on December 4 at Computing Power Town.

During the final, representatives from the 20 projects took the stage in succession to present their roadshows, showcasing their innovative explorations and practices in the computing power industry amidst an enthusiastic atmosphere. Dr. Lin Song, AI Drug Design Scientist at Westlake Pharma, represented the company with the project titled “High-Performance Computing Accelerating Novel Drug R&D.”

The innovative drug industry commonly faces challenges of long cycles, high investment, and significant risks, and AI technology offers a new approach to solving these problems. Dr. Lin Song explained to the audience how Westlake Pharma integrates AI technology into the entire drug R&D process to accelerate development and enhance efficiency, and shared the practical achievements made to date.

Through its roadshow presentation, Westlake Pharma demonstrated strong scientific research capabilities and significant growth potential, earning high recognition from the contest's judging panel.

The event served as both a competition and a platform for exchange. Participating companies not only showcased their own achievements but also shared valuable experiences with their peers. The collective presence of these enterprises gave a clearer, more tangible face to the concept of AI.
